?New graduates and established professionals don?t have to go abroad for international, well-paying jobs,? said Gillian Virata, Business Process Association of the Philippines (BPAP) senior executive director, in a statement.
?We have jobs in IT (information technology), software development, customer service, finance and accounting, health care, legal, creative services, and engineering,? he added.
Business process outsourcing participants aim to generate 120,000 jobs this year as part of the goal to employ 1.3 million Filipinos by 2016, the BPAP statement noted.
?This fast-growing industry? is one which continues to provide the best chance for high-potential individuals to realize their full potential,? the group said.
Information campaigns are also being ramped up to attract more employees to the sector.
